The work, I mean. The busy-ness. The ideas.
SubFest in Groton, CT this weekend. Come visit (LOTS to do!) and stop by the “BookNook” to say hello to me and the other writers involved in CAPA (Connecticut Authors and Publishers Association). There will be many, many books to choose from.
ReaderCon in Burlington, MA next weekend. This is my first time there. I’m not a scheduled guest, but have been asked to attend as a reader to those folks who will be giving blood at the blood drive run by John Hodges. If you love books, this is the convention for you. Check out their website and you’ll see for yourself that there’s a lot going on. I’ll be there on Saturday from 10 am until whenever. Come enjoy the con, give blood (it’s a worthy cause and you know it), and say hello.
My reader informs me that the manuscript will be in my hands next week, just a few days late of the July 4 deadline. I’m eager to see it, terrified to see it, and ready for that final polish. Agh!
The other novel is letting itself be worked on s-l-o-w-l-y. It’s a convoluted piece and while I believe the story wants to be told, it’s intent is to put me through the wringer in the process.
The third book thumbed its nose at me yesterday and told me to “Bugger off!”
And there’s at least two short stories on low boil at the back of the stove…
It’s nuts but I LOVE THIS!
